St Bartholomew's Church
St Bartholomew’s Church is at the centre of the hamlet of Harpley. It was built in 1877 to replace the derelict Old St Bartholomew’s, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, in Lower Sapey. It has the font from Old St Bartholomew’s which is early Norman. The East window, put in in 1920, of the nativity scene, is fairly unique with the wise people being two men and one woman -quite forward thinking for 100 years ago! It has a beautiful churchyard with specimen trees as old as the church.
